Specific processing of meiosis-related transcript is linked to final maturation in human oocytes

Last modified:

This article addresses the complex regulation of the transcriptome during meiosis in human oocytes, a key process for oocyte growth and early embryo development, which are critical for reproductive success. Currently, little is known about the messenger RNA (mRNA) processing mechanisms that regulate the late phases of meiosis and their impact on transcriptome complexity and translation rates.
